Built for everyone
Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed August 12, 2026
The short version. Jordy Care is built to be used by an aging parent on a phone, and by a caregiver reading it in a hospital hallway. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA. If any part of the Service is hard for you to use, tell us and we will help and fix it.
Our commitment
Accessibility is not an afterthought for Jordy Care. The people we build for include an aging, non-technical parent and, in time, caregivers who may be reading the record on a small screen in a stressful moment. If they cannot use it, it has failed, whatever a checklist says. We are committed to making the Service usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
The standard we follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 at level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, are the widely recognized standard for making web content usable by people with a broad range of abilities.
What we have done
As we build the Service, we follow these practices:
- We use real, meaningful structure, so headings, lists, buttons, and links are what they claim to be and work with assistive technology.
- Everything you can do with a mouse, you can do with a keyboard, and the item you are on is always clearly visible.
- Form fields have visible labels, and status messages, including errors, are announced to screen readers as well as shown on screen.
- We check color contrast rather than guess at it, and we never rely on color alone to carry meaning.
- Text can be enlarged without breaking the layout.
- We respect a request to reduce motion.
- For instructional videos, we provide captions or a written version of the steps, so a caregiver can follow along with the sound off.
Where we stand
We consider the Service to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that most of the Service meets the standard, and some parts are still being improved. Jordy Care is actively being rebuilt with accessibility designed in from the start, and we treat accessibility problems as bugs to be fixed, not as optional polish.
Browsers and assistive technology
The Service is designed to work with current versions of common browsers, including Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, on both computers and phones, and with the assistive technologies built into those platforms, such as VoiceOver and other screen readers. If you use an older browser or a particular assistive tool and something does not work, please let us know.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the Service may not yet be fully accessible. Where we know of a specific barrier, we work to fix it and, where helpful, to offer another way to get the same result in the meantime. If you find a barrier that is not listed, the fastest way to get it addressed is to tell us.
Tell us about a barrier
We welcome your feedback. If you run into an accessibility barrier, or you have a suggestion, email us at info@jordycare.com. Please tell us the page or feature, what happened, and, if you can, the device, browser, or assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within five business days, and we will work with you to find a solution.
Getting information another way
If you need information from the Service in a different format, or you need help completing a task, contact us at info@jordycare.com and we will provide the information or assistance you need.
